Set Up Your Phone You must first install and charge the battery to begin setting up your phone. Tap Sign in to sign in to your Samsung account, or tap Create new account to sign up for a new Samsung account. You can always set up a Google account later. Phone Basics Page Flick Flick Flicking the screen is similar to swiping, except that you need to swipe your finger in light, quick strokes. This finger gesture is always in a vertical direction, such as when flicking the contacts or message list.
Rotate For most screens, you can automatically change the screen orientation from portrait to landscape by turning the phone sideways. See Auto-rotate screen for more information. You can customize your home screen by adding application icons, shortcuts, folders, widgets, and more. Your home screen extends beyond the initial screen.
